the life of a twittering [tweeter..ah, who knows] is pretty exciting. its a good way to know what's going on with some cool peeps, although its also a mass way of promoting stalking [frankly all social networking is basically just a ginormous pool of stalking but whatev].

here's an article on some cool tweet features for you fellow tweeters [twitters...oh forget it] to enjoy. Check it out here...

best.in.show

you couldn't write a better storybook ending for this years Westminster Kennel Club show. not only is this years winner {best in show} the oldest canine to hold the title, he nearly died five years ago and thus has been completely out of the sport for several years. there's just something about underdogs {ha...no pun intended, but that just totally worked}.

Read more about the 10 year old Sussex Spaniel, Stump here.

[the forecast]

the days of birds chirping, flowers blooming, eating lunch on patios, daily iced coffees, and long walks outside with agassi feels like a very distant dream. but instead of letting the weather discourage..i'm gonna embrace it.

REASONS why its AWESOME to have snow this week:
1. the Special Olympic athletes get a quintessential winter experience [many of the athletes have never seen nor touched snow before]
2. keeps idaho green
3. means the boarding season will continue and be epic
4. more time to work on achieving the summer rock hard body [oh wait..this would require me to work out..i'll get right on that]
5. allows more time for in-door projects [redecorating, early spring cleaning, re-arranging, obsessive organizing]

What are some of your reasons for why the snow is AWESOME??? don't be a negative eddie. nothings as bad as it seems.

[don't change your relationship status on facebook]

if you have a facebook you've probably received the "25 Random Things About You" recently. I've received like a trillion and I totally refuse to do it. so instead of adopting the chain mail...i've just opted out. Here are a few of my reasons...

1. no time
2. waist of time
3. NO flippin' time
4. does everyone really have 25 random things about themselves??? i think not.
5. i'm not that interested in 25 things...maybe 3

i guess i'm not the only one feeling this, check this out. oh and let this be a lesson to ya...don't fall prey to the Facebook Murder just keep your relationship status steady.

2-16

he lost again, don't want to talk about it. this 2-16 win/loss ratio against federer really needs to narrow. uggghhh.

tonight's the BIG night

tonight, well actually the wee hours of the morning, a great match will be decided. Andy Roddick and Roger Federer are playing one another yet again. Tonight's Australian Open semifinal match is a BIG one. Andy's playing exceptionally well and I'm praying hard he's able to knock the #2 seed out. Check out the match on ESPN 2 {1:30am MTN}...dvr is a God send.

{hippie chic}

i woke up this morning sounding a little janis joplinesque...ya know...super raspy after a long weekend of singing. i mean my eating apple, drinking tea with ungodly amounts of honey, and chewing my magic gum routine only gets me so far...

so...since i sound like janis, i decided to dress accordingly. folks, here's a little taste of today's look, enjoy...

||everybody's doing it||

i'm recovering from the modern day plague {aka the flu} and so haven't been in the mood for much the last few days. only certain movies are worth my time {christmas movies are pretty ok}, reading only enhances the problem, food...wait, while i run to the bathroom, and talking is not necessary... so, what can i do....BLOG {but about nothing important cuz my brain is not fully functioning today}...

So...
Fashion Trend//Boyfriend Jean

We have Katie Holmes to thank or hate for bringing this 80's trend back into existence. I personally love it! I jumped on the trend wagon and got a pair recently and think their quite possibly the most comfortable jeans ever.

What do you think? Love it or Hate it?!

President's pooch tells the media what he thinks...

best story of the day... oh the irony

i just can't stop smiling as i think about the First Dog taking a bite out of the media. thanks Barney for defending your master {dog's really are man's best friend} and letting those reporters know what you really think.

don't worry Barney...soon you will be back on the ranch in Crawford, livin' the life.

Are you kidding me?!?!?

So...apparently American's are the most uninformed and {sorry to say} stupidest people on the planet. We jump on trend wagons and have no idea what we're talking about. I love that so many people in the U.S. and around the world {for that matter} are interested in this election...BUT seriously...know what you believe and why...
God help us!

YOU'VE GOT TO WATCH THESE VIDEO'S...ITS TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL!

Here's another one that my friends from OZ told me about that will get your blood pressure up a bit. CAUTION :: Let me just apologize for the ONE bad word in this video. The rest will change your life, I promise.

overexposure....

is there such a thing as too much OBAMA?! apparently his campaign doesn't think so. he has an entire channel {yes, the OBAMA channel} on the Dish Network and then apparently he thought flooding the airwaves with an infomercial would be the best way to get those undecideds.

my thoughts...if i was an undecided voter i'd be pretty sick of OBAMA and MCCAIN...but mostly OBAMA due to the very strategic publicity of the Democratic candidate.

don't believe there's overexposure. here's what i encountered in just one day in the District of Columbia.

not to worry i'll make sure to make it fair and show you the MCCAIN sightings as well...

6 days and counting...
political rhetoric, you will soon be gone and it'll be time to put action to all those fluffy words. I'm ready for that utopia you've been describing for almost 2 years! What?! It doesn't exist?!?! Gotcha...

:::::::::::10 days

10 days from now i will gladly hear the end of the following words/phrases: change, yes we can, country first, maverick, joe the plummer, and many others. don't get me wrong...i'm an avid follower of political {especially presidential} campaigns and have very strong opinions regarding who i think is best to lead. but seriously, this one has been TOO long. it does appear that there is quite a vested and passionate interest in this 2008 Election but i'm afraid its hype will accompany quite a let down come nov 5. i mean...what on earth will cnn, fox, and msnbc have to talk about?! oh...they'll think of something.

whatever happens nov 4, GOD will still be in control, HE will still be the master of the cosmos and the ruler of world affairs. and whatever the outcome...the church gets the opportunity to show LOVE through our words, conduct and action. i'm grateful for divine establishment of government but my HOPE is in Christ and his earthly body, the church.

perspective.

have you ever had those moments of perspective that hit you in the gut or maybe across the face {depending on how stubborn and self focused you are}? well, tonight i had one of those. i jet planed again today to washington and was feeling a little sorry for myself..cuz i'm a bit tired and have a lot going on. i'm behind in my reading for my grad program due to travel and ministry responsibilities. annoyed with my whining?! apparently so was God. as i was trying to read a book i must write a paper on by the end of the week...i got contemplative. it happens quite frequently on planes for me. i've heard people say they love to climb mountains to get closer to God, so when i'm flying i must be really close to God. anyway, i began to see what a difference a year makes. i thought back to my life a year ago...my life is significantly different. its a year next week since Tennyson went home to be with the Lord, i wasn't in school a year ago, and i wasn't responsible for nearly as much in ministry a year ago. i sort of started whining again {via my journal}...you know like lament psalms David would have penned and then all of the sudden i looked up...there he was. a guy probably my age. barely having enough strength to walk to the front of the plane. his body obviously afflicted with the most abominable disease, cancer. he was pale, skinny, and bald but proudly wearing a yellow livestrong bracelet. i felt hit in the gut...perspective. my whining was embarrassing now. i sat in my seat quietly crying and praying for a young man who's name i'll never know...but who left a lasting impression on the girl sitting in 3A.

{{ok}}

i'm in portland this week for a pastor's conference...actually getting ready to head to the airport to head home before i leave again for washington. the conference has been great. pastor larry stockstill had two incredible messages that EVERY pastor should listen to and apply. all the messages have been impacting and i believe we've all received a great impartation. My uncle, Wendell Smith, just preached the he{double hockey sticks} out of us with one huge message on FAITH.

i'm a little sleepy and excited to sleep in my own bed for a few nights...and i'm super pumped to be with my awesome small group tomorrow.

ok...i guess this was more of a really long twitter message then blog post. but its my blog so i can write whatever my little heart desires.

and since i'm a tad bit "sleepy sue" i couldn't think of a single title except, "ok."

ok...i'm out.
